    Job Title | Account Executive

    Account Executives provide marketing support to United Wholesale and are responsible for selecting, calling on and developing relationships with mortgage brokers and correspondents within a specified territory in order to maximize sales volume. Our goal is to provide all clients, internal and external, the best service in the industry as economically as possible. Our sales team can only achieve this goal through leadership by example, possessing and constantly demonstrating positive attitudes, possessing superior program knowledge and being effective communicators.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide world-class service to all internal and external clients.
    • Train approved Brokers on our systems, AUS and products.
    • Possess superior product, industry, and competition knowledge.
    • Possess Investor guideline knowledge as it relates to Underwriting and Closing loans.
    • Excellent communication skills always.
    • Professionally represent UWM to market products and services to match the client's needs.
    • Change with the industry and keep pace with technology and marketing strategies.
    • Be self-disciplined to get the job done on a daily basis.
    • Be able to work out of home or office with minimal supervision.
    • Possess excellent sales experience and marketing skills.
    • Have ability to obtain and develop productive relationships with Brokers.
    • Monitor performance of brokers.
    • Travel as required.
    • Attend conventions and meetings as required.
    • Meet UWM's goals and objectives.
    • Achieve superior sales and marketing performance by creating value in our products and services.
    • Fosters UWM's presence in respective markets through active solicitation of wholesale sources.
    • Provide market data and other required paperwork to management to help grow market share.
    • Prepare necessary paperwork in order to approve wholesale brokers.

    Decision Responsibilities:

    The Account Executive is required to have general knowledge of all loan products and guidelines in order to assist and provide advice as needed to approved Brokers. Must be able to analyze each Broker to determine if that Broker meets our expectations, how well the fit will be between our organizations, how well they are performing by managing each account. This can be done by monitoring the loan type, loan quality, loan fall out and time needed to underwrite and close loans.

    Job Requirements:

    An Account Executive is expected to develop and maintain a working knowledge in the following areas

    • MUST BE LOCATED IN THE METROPOLITAN DETROIT AREA - THIS IS AN INSIDE SALES POSITION BASED OUT OF OUR BIRMINGHAM OFFICE.
    • MUST HAVE 3-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE AS A RETAIL LOAN OFFICER OR WHOLESALE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE AND HAVE BEEN IN THE MORTGAGE BUSINESS IN THE PAST YEAR IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
    • Must be highly motivated, innovative and flexible.
    • Know all Products, Services and Pricing Policy of United.
    • All Automated Services offered by United.
    • Internal Workflow.
    • United's computer systems (including Outlook E-mail).
    • Ability to work within corporate environment required.
    • Possess experience in loans originated in the wholesale environment.
    • Minimum of two years experience closing conventional, government or non-conforming loans.
    • General knowledge of Underwriting, Product and Title Insurance requirements/procedures.
    • Ability to be flexible and work under pressure.
    • Excellent communication skills-written, phone and presentation.
    • Strong computer knowledge and skills.
    • Internet experience
